Better Places to Be

Better Places to Be

Hi! I’m Martina, professional model and founder of Muse Nails Atelier, and I have spent a lot of my life in waiting rooms.

Castings. Fittings. Airport gates. And, for years, nail salons. Three hours on a Saturday I was never getting back, booked two weeks ahead, for a manicure that had to survive a shoot, a flight and a dinner I hadn't planned yet.

It rarely did.

So I started doing my own nails in hotel rooms, backstage, in the back of taxis. Five minutes before walking out the door. That's where MUSE began. Not as a nail brand, but as a way out of the appointment.

What MUSE is

MUSE is the five-minute manicure for girls with better places to be.

Press-on nails designed like a fashion accessory, not like a beauty-supply aisle. Salon quality, reusable when you look after them, and made by hand, one by one, in small batches with so much care.

Put them on before a flight. Change them for a wedding. Take them off on Sunday, wear them again on Friday.

No appointment. No waiting. No committing to the same manicure for three weeks.

What The Muse Journal is

This is where the MUSE world lives when it isn't in a box.

One letter, every Sunday Morning. Some weeks it'll be practical: how to make a set last, how to find your size, how to take them off without wrecking your natural nails. Other weeks it'll be the good stuff: the bar in Milan worth the detour, what I pack for fashion week, the story behind a design, the girls we think you should know.

Think of it as the friend who always knows where to go, what to wear, and which nails go with the dress.

You won't find discount codes shouted at you here. That's what the shop is for.

EDIT ONE

Our first collection is called EDIT ONE. Six designs, six characters.

Allura. The glazed French. Quiet luxury, a timeless design.
Daisy. Soft pink, white flowers, a little sparkle. Sweet and girly.
Valentina. Romantic florals. The one who still writes handwritten notes.
Agatha. Chocolate brown. So much character.
Artemisa. Sage Green and Gold. The whimsy one.
Nina. Burgundy polka dots. Retro, shimmery, very MUSE.

Which one are you?

One trick before you go

Because letter number one should be useful: the secret to press-ons that last isn't the glue. It's the prep.

Buff the shine off your natural nail, wipe it with an alcohol pad, then press each nail down firmly and hold for ten seconds. That's the difference between a set that lasts all week and one you find at the bottom of your handbag.

Full application guide next Sunday.

See you then. I'll be somewhere with bad Wi-Fi and very good nails.
